When it feels like this
What usually follows anger is regret. And the regret turns into self-blame, which pushes prayer further away. God does not push away the person who lost their temper. He welcomes the one who returns.

I come before the God who answered Jonah's anger outside the city not with anger, but with patient questions — and waited for him.
Today anger ran ahead of love. My words and my face hurt someone.
When anger rises, let me call your name first.
Thank you that you do not turn away from those who return to you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
